University of Florida's School Problems Clinic
The School Problems Clinic helps diagnose, treat and guide students who have problems achieving academically in school. Academic underachievement is a common problem which may be caused by a single disorder or co-occurring problems that affect a child's ability to listen, speak, read, write, spell, reason, recall, organize information, and/or do mathematics.

Identifying the underlying cause of school problems is the first step toward receiving proper support and intervention.

Anne-Marie Slinger, M.D., a developmental-behavioral pediatrician, and collaborators developed the University of Florida School Problems Clinic to provide comprehensive evaluations and related services for children who are struggling in school.

An article about the School Problems Clinic was printed in the University of Florida September 2006 POST. The article, titled "New Clinic Helps Students Make The Grade" is printed on page nine. Please download the POST 09.06 to view the article.
